Is this Windsurf or Devin Desktop?

Accepted Answer

Both: on June 2, 2026 Windsurf became Devin Desktop, and settings carried over. Its local agent is now Devin Local; the older Cascade agent stayed available through July 2026. Whichever agent you use, the server URL on this page is the same; if a menu label differs, look for the MCP settings in the agent panel.

How do I add PosteAhora?

Open the agent panel's MCP menu → Open MCP config file and add a posteahora entry under mcpServers with serverUrl https://mcp.posteahora.com/mcp. Save and press the refresh button; on the first tool call you sign in to PosteAhora and pick the workspace. If you would rather use a key, add headers with Authorization: Bearer ${env:POSTEAHORA_API_KEY} so the key stays in your environment. On a Teams or Enterprise plan an admin may have to allow MCP first, and once an admin allowlists any server, every server not on the list is blocked.

Can I run it locally instead?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with our npm package: command npx, args -y and @posteahora/mcp, and two env values — POSTEAHORA_API_KEY (a pah_live_… key from the API page) and POSTEAHORA_API_URL (https://api.posteahora.com/functions/v1/api). The server exits if either is missing. The local package reads files from your repo by path, but it has a smaller tool set than the remote server — no media_import_url and no list_workspaces.

Will the agent publish something I did not approve?

Accepted Answer

Ask it to schedule rather than publish now, and the post waits in your PosteAhora queue, where you can edit or delete it before it goes out. How often the agent stops to ask before running a tool is a Devin Desktop setting, not ours. Publishing itself is asynchronous, so the agent can call get_post_status to report how it went.

Can it attach a screenshot from my repo?

Yes. With the remote server, the agent asks for an upload link with create_upload_url and sends the file with curl from the integrated terminal; with the local package, upload_media takes the file path directly. A public image URL works with both — the remote server through media_import_url, the local package by putting the URL in the post's media list.

Can one step post to several networks?

Yes. One call with several accounts fans out into one queued post per network, so the agent does not need a loop. If one network rejects its post, the failure stays on that network and the others still go out.

Devin Desktop is billed separately by its vendor. On our side there is a 7-day trial for $0 with a card on file, then a flat monthly or yearly price by plan, with the MCP server and API included. Every plan has unlimited posts; what varies is how many social accounts you can connect.
