Connect Grok to PosteAhora, step by step
Five steps, about two minutes, on grok.com. Menu names are Grok's English ones.
Before you start
You need a PosteAhora account with at least one network connected, and a Grok plan that includes custom connectors. Nothing to install: the server runs on our side.
The connector URL is the same for every client: https://mcp.posteahora.com/mcp. It signs you in with your PosteAhora account — no API key to paste. Networks are connected in Connections first; the assistant can only reach what is connected there.
1. Copy your connector URL
In PosteAhora, open AI & Integrations and choose Grok. Copy the connector URL. It looks like the one below, with your own token at the end.

The URL carries your access. Keep it private, and revoke it on the same page if it leaks.
2. Open Connectors on grok.com
Go to grok.com/connectors and click New Connector, then choose Custom.

3. Paste the URL and save
Name the connector PosteAhora, paste your connector URL as the MCP server URL, and save it. There is no sign-in step: the URL is the credential.
Grok needs a public URL. Ours is, so no tunnel is needed.
4. Check the tools
Grok reads the tools PosteAhora exposes and makes them available in your chats. Ask it to list your connected accounts to confirm it can reach them.

5. Schedule your first post
Describe the post and when it should go out. Then open Publish in PosteAhora: the post is there, marked scheduled, and you can edit it until it goes out.

The connector URL and the tools are ours; we have not run the Grok screens end to end ourselves yet, which is why there are no screenshots. FAQ
Can Grok post to social media on its own?
No. Grok can read X, but it cannot publish to X, Instagram, LinkedIn or any other network. PosteAhora is the MCP server that gives it that ability: you connect your accounts in PosteAhora once, and Grok publishes through those connections. It never sees your passwords, only the tools we expose.
How do I add PosteAhora to Grok?
In PosteAhora, open AI & Integrations → Grok and copy your connector URL. On grok.com, go to Connectors, click New Connector, choose Custom and paste the URL. Grok discovers the tools by itself and they show up in your chats.
Which Grok plans can add a custom connector?
Custom connectors are a paid Grok feature, and xAI decides which plans get them. On Grok Business and Enterprise, a team admin provisions the connector first. If you don't see New Connector → Custom on grok.com, your plan doesn't include it yet. The xAI API route below works on any API account.
Why a connector URL and not a sign-in?
The connector URL carries your access, so Grok needs nothing else and it works however Grok handles authentication. Treat it like a password: anyone with it can post as you. You can revoke it from AI & Integrations in PosteAhora at any time and create a new one.
Does it work with the xAI API?
Yes. Pass PosteAhora as a remote MCP tool in the Responses API: type mcp, server_url https://mcp.posteahora.com/mcp, and a PosteAhora API key as the authorization. xAI connects to our server for you, over Streamable HTTP. The same call works with the OpenAI SDK pointed at api.x.ai.
Does posting to X through Grok cost anything extra?
Not from Grok's side. On ours, every X post, whether you, Grok or the API created it, counts toward your plan's monthly X post allowance. Other networks don't have that allowance.
Will Grok publish something I did not approve?
A scheduled post waits in your PosteAhora queue, where you can edit or delete it before it goes out. Nothing leaves early unless you ask Grok to publish it now. Ask Grok to save a draft or an idea instead if you want to review everything first.
What about Grok Bot and Grok Build?
They connect to the same server. Grok Bot is xAI's always-on agent with its own cloud computer, good for recurring posting. Grok Build is xAI's coding agent in the terminal, good for announcing releases. Each has its own page with setup steps.
