Connect Perplexity to PosteAhora, step by step
Eight steps, about five minutes, on the Perplexity website. Menu names below are Perplexity's English ones.
Before you start
You need a PosteAhora account with at least one network connected, and a Perplexity Pro, Max or Enterprise account — custom connectors are not on the free plan.
The connector URL is the same for every client: https://mcp.posteahora.com/mcp. It signs you in with your PosteAhora account — no API key to paste. Networks are connected in Connections first; the assistant can only reach what is connected there.
1. Open Settings → Connectors
In Perplexity click your profile icon at the bottom left, open Settings and choose Connectors. The help centre calls this screen Account settings → Connectors.
In an Enterprise organization, members can add their own connectors only after an admin switches on "Allow members to add custom connectors" under Enterprise settings → Connectors; it is off by default. An admin can also add PosteAhora for the whole organization there.
2. Click + Custom connector and choose Remote
The + Custom connector button is in the top-right corner of the Connectors screen. In the window that opens, choose Remote — PosteAhora runs on our servers, nothing is installed on your computer.
3. Fill in the connector
Name it PosteAhora, paste the connector URL into MCP Server URL, set Authentication to OAuth and Transport to Streamable HTTP. Description and icon are optional.

If the form asks for a Client ID and Client Secret, leave them empty. PosteAhora publishes its OAuth settings and supports dynamic client registration, so Perplexity registers itself.
4. Acknowledge and click Add
Tick the box confirming you understand the risks of custom connectors — Perplexity shows it for every connector it cannot vouch for — and click Add. PosteAhora appears as a card on the Connectors screen.
If the card shows an error tag, Perplexity could not reach the server with those settings; check the URL and open the card's ⋮ menu to edit it.
5. Sign in with PosteAhora
Click the PosteAhora card. Perplexity starts the sign-in and opens a PosteAhora page; sign in there if you are not already.
6. Pick a workspace and approve
The page shows who you are signed in as and what Perplexity will be able to do — read and manage your posts, ideas, connected accounts and analytics. Choose the workspace it should work in and click Approve; you land back in Perplexity with the connector enabled.
The connection is fixed to that workspace. To work in another one, add the connector again and pick it there.
7. Turn it on in a thread
Connectors are sources in Perplexity, chosen per thread. Click + in the compose box, open Connectors and sources and switch PosteAhora on. Leave the web on too if you want to research first, then describe the post and when it should go out.
Find what people are asking about four-day weeks this month, then schedule a LinkedIn post about it for Thursday at 10:00.
8. See it in your queue
Open Publish in PosteAhora: the post sits under Thursday at 10:00, marked scheduled, editable until it goes out. Nothing publishes early unless you asked to publish now.
Where these steps come from
Not yet run by us. These steps follow Perplexity's help-centre article on custom remote connectors and were written on September 23, 2026. The URL, the OAuth sign-in and the workspace approval are ours, and Perplexity accounts already connect to our server this way; the Perplexity screens have not been run end to end by us yet, which is why there are no screenshots. FAQ
Can Perplexity post to Instagram on its own?
No. Perplexity can search the web and read your connected apps, but it has no publishing rights on any social network; it needs a connector that does, and PosteAhora is that connector. You connect Instagram (a professional account — Business or Creator, which is what Instagram's API requires), X, LinkedIn and the others in PosteAhora once, and Perplexity publishes through those connections. It never sees the network passwords, only the tools we expose.
Which Perplexity plan do I need?
Custom connectors — the kind you add with your own server URL — arrived in March 2026 for Pro, Max and Enterprise subscribers. In an Enterprise organization members can only add their own once an admin turns that on; an admin can also add PosteAhora for the whole organization. Plan rules are Perplexity's to change, so its help-centre article on custom remote connectors is the reference.
How do I use it in a thread?
Connectors are sources in Perplexity, picked per thread. Click + in the compose box, open Connectors and sources, turn PosteAhora on, and ask. You can keep the web on too — that is the point: research the topic and schedule the post in the same thread.
Will Perplexity publish something I did not approve?
Only if you ask it to publish now. Ask it to schedule and the post waits in your PosteAhora queue, where you can edit or delete it before it goes out. Nothing leaves before the time you gave.
How do I add an image to a post from Perplexity?
Give it a public URL, or upload the file in PosteAhora first and refer to it. The connector runs on our servers, so it cannot read a file from your computer; a local path is rejected with a message that says what to send instead.
Is it secure?
You sign in to PosteAhora through OAuth and pick the workspace Perplexity may use; it never gets your password or the social networks' logins, and it only sees that one workspace. To cut it off, remove the connector in Perplexity from the ⋮ menu on its card under Settings → Connectors.
What does it cost?
Perplexity is billed by Perplexity. On our side there is a 7-day trial for $0 with a card on file, then a flat monthly or yearly price by plan, with the connector included. Every plan has unlimited posts; what varies is how many social accounts you can connect.
